Vet­eran town jus­tice de­cides to run for another term

James J. Faso Sr., who is in his 30th year as Town of Ni­a­gara jus­tice, an­nounced last week he’s run­ning for another four-year term. He said he will seek en­dorse­ments from all po­lit­i­cal par­ties.

In his three decades on the bench, Faso, 77, has worked to com­put­er­ize the court records and cre­ate laser im­ages of all the court’s pa­per doc­u­ments.

In ad­di­tion to his mem­ber­ship in judges’ or­ga­ni­za­tions, Faso serves on the board of directors of Riverdale Ceme­tery.

He served in the Marine Corps and af­ter his dis­charge in 1963, took a job at Oc­ci­den­tal Chem­i­cal Corp., from which he re­tired in 2000.
