UAW VP charged with con­spir­acy in Fiat probe

The for­mer head of the United Auto Work­ers’ Fiat Chrysler de­part­ment, Nor­wood Jewell, was charged by pros­e­cu­tors in Detroit on Mon­day with con­spir­acy to vi­o­late the La­bor Man­age­ment Re­la­tions Act.

Jewell is the lat­est for­mer UAW or com­pany of­fi­cial to be charged in the fed­eral in­ves­ti­ga­tion al­leg­ing that start­ing in 2009 or ear­lier, mil­lions of dol­lars were fun­neled from the Fiat
