Jager, Nee­ley part of syn­chro swim champs

On March 27, two swim­mers who spent time at Wil­liamsville South helped Ohio State to vic­tory at the U.S. Col­le­giate Na­tional Cham­pi­onship for syn­chro­nized swim­ming.

a sopho­more and re­turn­ing first-team All-Amer­i­can, swam in a trio that brought home gold last Wednes­day and also swam with the eight-woman team that won its event.

Aus­tralian Ash­leigh Barty used 15 aces Satur­day to up­set for­mer World No. 1 (1), 6-3 at the Mi­ami Open.

It was the fourth ca­reer win for the 22-year-old – her first this year – and her first Pre­mier Manda­tory ti­tle.

Barty needed 99 min­utes to dis­patch the fifth-seeded Czech, who de­feated Barty in straight sets in their pre­vi­ous meet­ing in the Round of 16 in the 2018 U.S. Open. 7-6
