UPS employee is accused of stealing iPhone from package
An employee of the United Parcel Service facility on Packard Road has been arrested, accused of stealing an iPhone from a package he was loading onto a truck for delivery, Town of Niagara Police reported.
Mark Gratto, 38, of Willow Avenue, Niagara Falls, told police that he had worked for UPS for several months and was recently “throwing” a package onto a truck for delivery when it fell and broke open, revealing a shipment of iPhones inside.
He reportedly told police that he did not think anyone would notice one of the phones missing, so he took the iPhone 6 valued at approximately $550. He was charged with petit larceny.
