Five teams to vie Wed­nes­day for Panasci com­pe­ti­tion funds

Five teams will com­pete Wed­nes­day for $52,000 in startup fund­ing and in-kind ser­vices, in the Henry A. Panasci Jr. Tech­nol­ogy En­trepreneur­ship Com­pe­ti­tion.

The fi­nal round will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Cen­ter for the Arts on the Uni­ver­sity at Buf­falo’s North Cam­pus. The win­ning team will re­ceive $25,000 in seed money plus in-kind sup­port ser­vices val­ued at $27,000. The sec­ond-place team will re­ceive $10,000 in startup fund­ing.

The com­pe­ti­tion was cre­ated by the UB School of Man­age­ment and the UB Of­fice of Busi­ness and En­tre­pre­neur Part­ner­ships, and is funded with a $1 mil­lion en­dow­ment from Panasci, who was a UB grad­u­ate.
