Reports of driver hitting guard rail, car lead to arrest of woman
Reports of a vehicle hitting another vehicle and fleeing the scene led to the arrest of an Orchard Park woman, police said Saturday.
Diana Deeds, 34, was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident.
Orchard Park police said Deeds’ arrest followed a report of an invividual driving recklessly on Route 219, hitting a guard rail and rear-ending a car near Duerr Road and fleeing the scene Saturday afternoon.
Officers said they located a car with extensive damage on Powers Road and arrested Deeds after she failed several sobriety tests.
A Breathalyzer test, police said, put her blood-alcohol level at 0.20 percent, more than two times the legal limit.
