Depew pitchers shine

Senior Josh Doss pitched a twohitter in a 3-2 win over cross-town rival last week. Joe Pagano pitched a no-hitter in the Wildcats’ ECIC III opener over Pioneer on Monday.
Wednesday, Ethan Krakowski pitched a one-hitter in a 12-0 win at
in a battle of defending ECIC division champions. Depew (3-1) ECIC III) won ECIC IV last year before moving up. Lake Shore took the ECIC III pennant a year ago.
Krakowski had a no-hitter going until Zach Evans cracked a clean single with one out in the bottom of the seventh. Evans was only the fourth baserunner for the Eagles, who had two walks and one player reach on an error.
Krakowski struck out five. Jake Wentland drove in four runs with a pair of singles. Pagano had three hits, including two doubles, scored once and had one RBI and Zac Buck drove in two runs with his two hits.
rallied from an 11-0 deficit to tie its ECIC IV game at and the game was called because of darkness in the top of the eighth with the scored tied, 11-11.
