Jamestown man ar­rested after dishar­mony in Har­mony

A Jamestown man was ar­rested on sev­eral charges, in­clud­ing tres­pass­ing, Wed­nes­day after he was in­volved in a phys­i­cal al­ter­ca­tion in the Town of Har­mony with an­other per­son, ac­cord­ing to the Chautauqua County Sher­iff’s Of­fice.

Deputies said an in­ves­ti­ga­tion found that, dur­ing the al­ter­ca­tion, 27-year-old Shawn M. Bat­tle had been tres­pass­ing on prop­erty he had no right to be on. Bat­tle is also ac­cused of dam­ag­ing a cell phone that did not be­long to him while on the prop­erty be­fore flee­ing the scene.

Bat­tle was charged with one count each of third- and fourth-de­gree crim­i­nal mis­chief, en­dan­ger­ing the wel­fare of a child, sec­ond-de­gree ha­rass­ment, sev­enth-de­gree crim­i­nal pos­ses­sion of a con­trolled sub­stance and sec­ond-de­gree crim­i­nal tres­pass, ac­cord­ing to the Sher­iff’s Of­fice.
