Duck­Fest to sup­port Calvert United Way

The Ruddy Duck Brew­ery & Grill will host the third an­nual Duck­Fest: Beer & Mu­sic Fes­ti­val on Sun­day, Sept. 30, from 1 to 6 p.m. Duck­Fest is a fundrais­ing event based on the Ger­man cel­e­bra­tion of Ok­to­ber­fest, com­plete with live mu­sic, craft beer from var­i­ous Calvert brew­eries, authen­tic scratch-made Ger­man cui­sine and a va­ri­ety of chil­dren and adult games and ac­tiv­i­ties, a press re­lease states.

The Ruddy Duck Brew­ery & Grill and its sis­ter op­er­a­tions, Ruddy Duck Seafood and Ale­house, Ca­nards Cater­ing and Event Pro­duc­tion and Cone Is­land Ice Cream, have a long his­tory of sup­port­ing the com­mu­nity, ac­cord­ing to the re­lease. With the help of spon­sors, in the past two years, Ruddy Duck has do­nated and raised over $70,000 for the United Way of Calvert County and other non­profit or­ga­ni­za­tions.

All of the pro­ceeds of this year’s Duck­Fest will ben­e­fit the United Way of Calvert County and Mary­land Re­source Group for The Na­tional Frag­ile X Foun­da­tion.

Cost is $20 for ages 21 and up with one food and drink ticket and a sou­venir glass, $15 for ages 12 to 20 with one food and drink ticket, $10 for des- ig­nated drivers with one food and drink ticket and free for kids un­der 12.
