6th annual ROASA women’s leadership conference nears
Remembering Our Ancestors Synergistic Association, or ROASA, will host the sixth annual Leading Within Conference from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, 5:30 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, and 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, at the Courtyard by Marriott Largo Capital Beltway, 1320 Caraway Court in Largo. The host is Calvert County native Sharon Parker, president of ROASA Inc., and the keynote speakers are Parker, Dr. Hattie Washington and Apostle Veryl Howard.
The theme is “Get in the Frame of Greatness.”
Celebrate with women from around the country and connect with dynamic female business leaders and entrepreneurs who transform lives for the better. Mistresses of ceremonies Candice Camille, founder of Plank Talk Movement, and Lisa Dove Washington, founder of Dove Style Magazine, will help participants shift, focus and lead in the following areas: shifting between a job to become CEO; building collaborations with diverse women platforms; leading with true business relationships; branding oneself on social media; and knowing oneself to become the ultimate entrepreneur through passion and calling, a press release states.
Other presenters include Stephanie Bryan, Allison Daniels, Cynthia Greene, Dr. Debra Dunston, Shirley Luu, Turiya Hodge, Tonique Parker, Randi Parker Niles, Tracie Mitchell, Charlene Day, Dr. Valeka Moore, Maria Thorpe and Leni Uddyback-Forton.
Special guest The Pajama Girls of Kaleidoscope Dreamz will bring a VIP pajama party after dark Friday as well as a special feature Sunday for VIP guests and attendees.
