Dirt bike crash injures two
A Sunday dirt bike collision has sent two men to hospital with serious injuries. One of the injured was listed in critical condition while the other was in stable condition as of Monday morning.
Michael Paul Wolford, 18, of Huntingtown and Durelle Antawne Evans, 28, of Lothian were involved in the bike crash in the area of 4134 Ferry Landing Road in Dunkirk, police reported in a news release Monday. Wolford was riding a Yamaha dirt bike, and Evans was operating a Suzuki dirt bike.
David Payne, spokesperson for the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office, said Monday the collision location deputies responded to was a wooded area, and the police are reconstructing the scene to figure out what caused the crash.
Wolford was flown from the scene to Prince George’s County Shock Trauma where he was listed in critical condition as of Monday morning. Evans was taken to Washington MedStar Hospital Center listed in stable condition.
