Dirt bike crash in­jures two

A Sun­day dirt bike col­li­sion has sent two men to hos­pi­tal with se­ri­ous in­juries. One of the in­jured was listed in crit­i­cal con­di­tion while the other was in sta­ble con­di­tion as of Mon­day morn­ing.

Michael Paul Wol­ford, 18, of Hunt­ing­town and Durelle Antawne Evans, 28, of Loth­ian were in­volved in the bike crash in the area of 4134 Ferry Land­ing Road in Dunkirk, po­lice re­ported in a news re­lease Mon­day. Wol­ford was rid­ing a Yamaha dirt bike, and Evans was op­er­at­ing a Suzuki dirt bike.

David Payne, spokesper­son for the Calvert County Sher­iff’s Of­fice, said Mon­day the col­li­sion lo­ca­tion deputies re­sponded to was a wooded area, and the po­lice are re­con­struct­ing the scene to fig­ure out what caused the crash.

Wol­ford was flown from the scene to Prince George’s County Shock Trauma where he was listed in crit­i­cal con­di­tion as of Mon­day morn­ing. Evans was taken to Washington MedS­tar Hos­pi­tal Cen­ter listed in sta­ble con­di­tion.
