JULY 17

9:43 a.m. in the 600 block of East Hamilton Avenue:

A man, 36, defecated outside business. He was contacted hitting the concrete with a hammer and hatchet. He fled and was apprehende­d later. He was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance.

Overnight in the 14500 block of South Bascom Avenue: Someone pried open the front door and stole items.

Overnight in the 1100 block of Dell Avenue:

Someone removed two catalytic converters off vehicles.

Overnight in the 100 block of Curtner Avenue: Two suspects gained entry into a storage unit by damaging the door and stole items.

Overnight at Sunnyside Avenue and First Street:

The victim’s tires were slashed.

3 p.m. in the 1600 block of West Campbell Avenue:

The suspect was upset and caused a disturbanc­e. They were asked to leave and threw items at an employee.

7:22 p.m. at Bascom Avenue and Southwest Expressway: A man, 42, was stopped for a vehicle code violation. He was found to be driving under the influence of a controlled substance. He was also in possession of methamphet­amine, burglary tools and drug parapherna­lia.

10:22 p.m. in the 800 block of Sharmon Palms Lane: A mailbox was broken-into, and mail was stolen.

10:53 p.m. in the 1700 block of South Bascom Avenue: A store employee said someone threatened him after an argument.

1:04 a.m. in the 1200 block of Camden Avenue:

A man, 35, was stopped for a vehicle code violation. He was arrested for possession of methamphet­amine, being under the influence of a controlled substance and having a suspended driver’s license. A Colt 1911 was located. A search warrant was authored and executed. Cocaine, a loaded highcapaci­ty magazine and an unloaded ghost gun were located.

JULY 18

Overnight in the 100 block of East Sunnyoaks Avenue: Two vans were broken into and items were taken.

Overnight in the 3400 block of South Bascom Avenue: Someone damaged the door lock, entered a business and stole money.

Overnight in the 600 block of Nello Drive:

Someone stole both license plates off a black 2015 BMW 320i.

10:45 a.m. in the 100 block of Nello Drive: The suspect hit the victim several times in the face, causing laceration­s.

Overnight in the 300 block of Payne Avenue:

Someone wrote on a car in marker.

6:15 p.m. in the 1600 block of South Bascom Avenue:

A man, 32, indecently exposed himself outside a business. He was also found to be under the influence of a controlled substance and had an outstandin­g warrant.

7:38 p.m. in the 200 block of Union Avenue: A woman said a man, 22, slapped her and would not allow her to exit the apartment. She later reported that two days prior, the suspect also struck her with a belt, which caused an injury.

8 p.m. in the 1900 block of South Bascom Avenue:

Someone tampered with the steering column to a car.

10:36 p.m. in the 1100 block of Hazelwood Avenue: Someone accessed the victim’s bank account.

JAN. 19

Overnight in the 1000 block of Bismark Drive: A white 2004 Chevy express van was stolen. The vehicle was recovered in San Jose. 5:15 p.m. in the 00 block of Cristich Lane: A female was sitting in a vehicle and calling for help. Upon arrival, the officer attempted to stop the vehicle but it fled, ran a stop sign and drove on the wrong side of the road. The suspect fled on foot. 7:47 p.m. in the 200 block of Dillon Avenue: A man, 39, slapped someone in the face. When officers arrived, they found the man holding someone else on the couch with his arm around their neck. There is a served nocontact restrainin­g protecting the second victim from the suspect.

JAN. 20

Overnight in the 300 block of Budd Avenue:

A light blue BMX bike was stolen.

1:30 p.m. in the 1700 block of South Bascom Avenue:

Someone keyed a car, causing damage.

1:50 a.m. in the 1600 block of South Winchester Boulevard: Two suspects were rummaging through a vehicle and stealing coins.

Overnight in the 1600 block of Dell Avenue:

Someone entered a closed business and stole items.

11:07 p.m. in the 700 block of Sharmon Palms Lane:

Officers located a stolen 1999 white Chevy Silverado.

1400 block of Pollard Road: Unknown A 2005 Ford F350 truck with a utility bed was stolen.

JAN. 21

8:57 p.m. in the 1800 block of South Bascom Avenue: A man, 39, got into an argument with a woman, 28. During the argument, the man choked the woman, causing injury. He fled and was later contacted in San Jose. A parole search was conducted, and the suspect was in possession of meth for sales and meth pipes. 6:12 p.m. at 1950 S. Bascom Ave.: The victim met the suspect to buy some products. The suspect got into the victim’s car and told them to drive down Fewtrell and follow a second suspect. At Midway, the first suspect told the victim to get out of his car, took his property and drove off in his car. The suspects were reported to have guns, which caused the victim to fear for his life.

9:40 p.m. in the 100 block of Dot Avenue: Someone broke the window to a 2019 Toyota and rummaged through it.

9:59 p.m. on West Campbell Avenue: A man, 40, was in a bike party and was found to be intoxicate­d.

Jeffers Way and Campbell Avenue: Someone broke the window to a white Lexus and rummaged through it.

12:08 a.m. at Campbell Avenue and Milton: A driver, 32, was stopped for a vehicle code violation and found to be DUI.

12:31a.m. at Harrison Avenue and Civic Center Drive:

A man, 35, was stopped for a vehicle code violation and found to be DUI.

2 p.m. in the 1800 block of South Bascom Avenue:

Someone stole a temporary plate off of a blue Tesla Y.

JAN. 22

Overnight in the 700 block of Sharmon Palms Lane: Someone forced entry into four vehicles and stole items.

Overnight on Christophe­r Avenue: Someone damaged a vehicle’s window trying to gain entry.

Overnight in the 300 block of West Rincon Avenue: Someone forced entry into a vehicle.

Overnight in the 500 block of West Hacienda Avenue: Someone forced entry into a vehicle and stole items.

Overnight in the 190 block of Warwick Drive: Someone forced entry into a vehicle and stole items. 3 p.m. in the 200 block of Cherry Lane: Someone stole a package from the victim’s front porch.

4:22 p.m. at Camden Avenue and South Winchester Boulevard: A transient man, 37, lit a fire underneath the expressway bridge, causing damage. Upon contact, he did not want to cooperate with verbal commands then struggled with officers when they tried to detain him. He was found to be under the influence of a stimulant and provided a chemical sample. 3 p.m. in the 2000 block of South Winchester Boulevard: Someone stole the tip jar and fled.

JAN. 23

10:48 a.m. on Los Gatos Creek Trail: Someone spray-painted a wall near the ramp leading to Campisi. 11:41 a.m. in the 1800 block of South Bascom Avenue: A man opened a business and noticed money missing from the safe. He checked the surveillan­ce footage and saw who had been the last to gain access to the safe, but it was unclear on video if that person had taken anything.

2:43 p.m. in the 1700 block of Dell Avenue: A transient man, 46, was observed entering and exiting with copper wiring and taking multiple trips to his moped, which was parked near a door that had been forced open. He was apprehende­d as he was leaving and was found to be under the influence of meth.

3:42 p.m. in the 1500 block of South Bascom Avenue: The suspect got upset with the victim after being accused of stealing a backpack and punched him twice in the chest.

1600 block of Dell Avenue:

A white 2003 Ford F350 was stolen.

3:58p.m. on Darryl Drive:

A man eft his care facility after a side gate was left unlocked. Officers located him walking in the neighborho­od.

3:51 p.m. in the 1800 block of South Bascom Avenue: Someone stole clothing and fled.
