Purple reign
The Heritage Theatre’s season closes on Feb. 25 with a show by The Purple Xperience, a fivepiece group hailing from Prince’s birthplace of Minneapolis. Since 2011 the band has been touring to bring audiences the music of Prince and The Revolution.
Lead singer Marshall Charloff not only bears a striking resemblance to Prince but is, like the late artist, a multi-instrumentist. Charloff recorded with Prince on the album “94 East,” where he plays both keyboards and bass guitar, with Prince on lead vocals.
The concert is at 8 p.m. at the Heritage Theatre at the Campbell Community Center, 1 W. Campbell Ave. Individual show tickets are $49 at 408-866-2700 or Heritagetheatre.org.
Events at the Heritage Theatre are now considered indoor mega-events by California’s Public Health Department. Patrons will need to provide proof of vaccination or negative test for entry into an event.
Acceptable forms of proof of vaccination are an original CDC vaccination card, a digital copy of a CDC vaccination card or the California QR Code.
