Donation driven

To address an immediate need for A positive blood and an ongoing need for all other blood types Stanford Blood Center is offering rewards for blood donors throughout the month of March.

Everyone who gives blood at a donor center, including the South Bay center in Campbell, will receive 1,000 bonus points to spend in their Donor Loyalty Store on gifts and e-gift cards. In addition, each donor will be automatica­lly entered into a drawing for a weekend getaway at the Dream Inn in Santa Cruz.

Stanford's blood mobile will be at Sharks Ice at 1500 S. 10th St. in San Jose for a San Jose Sharks Blood Drive on March

30. Donors will be entered into a drawing for 70 pairs of tickets for the Sharks vs. Calgary Flames game on April 9 at 7:30 p.m. and will receive a

$20 e-gift card of their choice.

Denny's reopens

Denny's celebrated the grand reopening on March 11 of its Campbell restaurant, located at 2201 S. Bascom Ave., with collectabl­e Denny's coffee mugs for the first 100 guests and free coffee for a month on their return visits.

This Denny's location will be open 24/7 and features a meeting room.

“Denny's offers more than good food; it gives people a chance to enjoy dining with good people any time of the day,” Denny's owner Sunita Sagar said in a statement. “We're thrilled to bring Denny's back to our local community in Campbell and look forward to serving them.”

People that have A positive blood, along with others that have other blood types, are being sought by the Stanford Blood Center, which is offering rewards throughout March for everyone who gives blood at a donor center, including the South Bay center in Campbell.
