Mount Carmel (1-1) at AACS (1-1), 4 The Eagles fell to Concordia Prep, 24-6, last week to even their record. Jeremiah Taylor scored the only AACS touchdown on a 68-yard pass from Ryan Idleman. Mount Carmel is coming off a 14-8 victory over St. John's Catholic Prep after opening the season with a loss to Concordia Prep. AACS won both meetings between the teams last year. Severn (1-2) at Archbishop Curley (0-3), 4 The Admirals recorded their first win of the young season on Saturday when Craig Stevens and Henry Rentz hooked up for three touchdowns in a 26-22 victory over St. Albans. Rentz also ran back an intercepti­on for another score. Archbishop Curley is 0-3 and has scored only 14 points in its three losses. Severn defeated Archbishop Curley, 14-0, last year and has won the last two meetings. Meade (0-3) at North County (0-3), 6:30 One team will get its first win, while the other will remain winless. Both suffered losses last week in different ways. Meade fell to Old Mill, 39-6, while North County put up 40 points but still fell to Northeast by three touchdowns. Meade defeated North County, 21-14, last year. Cape Henlopen (Del.) (0-2) at Northeast (3-0), 6:30 The Eagles are 3-0 for the first time since 2001 when they got off to a 4-0 start. They're averaging 36 points a game in their three wins after putting up 61 in last week's victory over North County. Ethan Young led the Eagles with three touchdowns while rushing for 172 yards on 15 carries in the win over the Knights. Cape Henlopen has been outscored 97-27 in its two losses. Cape Henlopen defeated Northeast, 28-22, last year. South River (2-1) at Annapolis (1-2), 6:30 The Seahawks suffered their first loss, while Annapolis got in the win column for the first time last week. South River fell to Arundel, 42-20, while the Panthers knocked off Glen Burnie, 36-12. South River's 46-42 victory over Annapolis last year got the Seahawks started on a three-game winning streak. Annapolis' Ahmon Middleton is coming off a 222-yard, two touchdown performanc­e in the Panthers' victory over Glen Burnie. Glen Burnie (1-2) at Chesapeake (3-0), 6:30 The Gophers have lost two straight after a season-opening victory over Southern. They fell to Annapolis, 36-12, last week and face a Chesapeake team which is unbeaten in its first three games. Chesapeake got another strong performanc­e from quarterbac­k Dylan Young, who threw for 203 yards and three touchdowns in a win over Catonsvill­e. For the season, he's thrown seven touchdown passes and no intercepti­ons. Chesapeake defeated Glen Burnie, 35-14, last year. Severna Park (1-2) at Old Mill (2-1), 6:30 The Falcons have lost two straight, while the Patriots have won two in a row since Week 1. Markus Thompson threw three touchdown passes in the Patriots' victory over Meade. Ryheam Tull ran for a score and caught a touchdown pass for Old Mill. Jordan Hallet threw for 164 yards in the Falcons' loss to Broadneck last week. Old Mill defeated Severna Park, 23-6, last year.

Arundel (3-0) at Broadneck (3-0), 6:30 Annually one of the biggest games of the year, this battle of playoff teams from a year ago features two of the county's four publicscho­ol unbeaten teams. Both teams avoided looking ahead with decisive wins last week. Jordan Andrews ran for a pair of touchdowns and Austin Slye and RJ Chandler hooked up for two touchdowns in the Wildcats' 42-20 victory over South River. Josh Ehrlich threw two touchdown passes and ran for another in the Bruins' 34-17 victory over Severna Park. Broadneck defeated Arundel, 45-9, last year and has won the last five meetings. South Carroll (1-2) at Southern (0-3), 6:30 The Bulldogs put up a strong defensive effort last week, but managed just six points in a 7-6 loss at Manchester Valley. They'll play one more out-of-county game at Easton next week before closing with five straight county games. South Carroll, located in Sykesville, is coming off a 44-0 loss to South Hagerstown. South Carroll defeated Southern, 27-18, in 2017. Stephen Decatur (2-1) at Kent Island (3-0), 7 The Bucs recorded their second shutout of the year with last week's 7-0 victory over Kent County. Stephen Decatur is coming off a 48-7 victory over Washington and has scored 114 points in three games. Kent Island defeated Stephen Decatur, 30-3, last year. Saturday, Sept. 22

Archbishop Spalding (1-0-1) at Archbishop Wood (Pa.) (1-2), 1 The Cavaliers finally got to play a full game and made the most of it with a 41-18 victory over Bishop Moore (Fla.). Austin Tutas threw for 178 yards and two touchdowns and Jayon Venerable produced 165 rushing yards and three touchdowns for the Cavaliers. Archbishop Wood, located in Warminster, Pa., has won two straight PIAA state championsh­ips. St. Mary’s (0-3) at Loyola (2-0), 4 The Saints are playing their final tune-up before beginning MIAA B Conference play the following week. After a pair of losses where they scored just three points, the Saints put up 23 last week at Delmar (Del.), but fell, 35-23. A bright spot for the Saints in the loss was Dominic Donohue, who hit a schoolreco­rd 54-yard field goal. Loyola, a former member of the MIAA, is playing an independen­t schedule this year. The Dons have won both their games via shutout.
