NAVY WOMEN’S BASKETBALL: Head coach Stefanie Pemper announced on Thursday the hiring of Kaitlyn Vican as an assistant coach for the Navy women's basketball team. Vican comes to Annapolis with prior experience on staff at St. Francis Brooklyn.

Vican arrives in Annapolis after serving as an assistant coach at St. Francis Brooklyn for six seasons from June 2011 through May 2017. While on staff with the Terriers, Vican helped improve a 3-25 club in 2011-12 to an 11-win team in 2012-13 to a program-best 19-11 in 2013-14. ST. NAVY SPRINT FOOTBALL: The Navy sprint football team (1-0) hosts archrival Army West Point (1-0) in the annual Star Series presented by USAA on Friday at 7 p.m. at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. The game is the first Star Series game of the 2018-19 season. NAVY WOMEN’S SOCCER: The Mids will look to improve to 2-0 in Patriot League play on Friday night with a road matchup at Loyola. Heading up the road to Baltimore and the Ridley Athletic Complex, the Mids (4-3-3, 1-0 PL) and Greyhounds (3-5, 0-1 PL) will go head-to-head starting at 7:30 p.m.
