Elizabeth Fitch

Elizabeth “Libby” Jane Fitch, a resident of Stevensville, MD, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.

Born January 2, 1937 in Tybee Island, GA, she was 81 years old. Libby was the beloved wife of Paul W. Fitch for 63 years. Her life’s legacy is honored by her five girls, Carol Gallagher of Meridian, ID, Cathy Black-Gallagher of Pasadena, MD, Donna Jones (proceeded in death), Paula Scheminant of Severna Park, MD and Tracy Karlewicz of Selbyville, DE, 14 grandchildren and 17 greatgrandchildren.

Libby was a loving wife and mother, always wanting happiness and success for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She delighted in coordinating family events and spending time with loved ones. Her talents were many, she became a licensed cosmetologist and proud owner of “Libby’s Guys and Dolls” beauty salon for 12 years, before making a career change and becoming a licensed real estate agent for Long and Foster, retiring in 1998. Also, she had an incredible artistic ability and took delight in drawing and painting. Libby was enthusiastic about traveling and especially enjoyed the many places she visited by cruise ship. For years, she was a devoted member of the College Parkway Baptist Church, where she met many of her dearest friends. Her influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her.

A Memorial service will be held on Sunday November 18, 2018 at 1:00pm in the Barranco & Sons,P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home 495 Ritchie Hwy. Severna Park, MD. 21146.
