Yvonne O. Contee

-

Entered peacefully into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at the age of 70. She resided in Calvert County, MD.

She was preceded in death by her father, Noble Brown and mother, Landers (Holland) Brown, sister, Mary “Cile” Howard, and brother, Leon Brown. She is survived by her husband, Wesley J. Contee; and the proud mother and dear friend of her son, Noble W. Contee and daughter, Vette Contee, and a host of other loving family and friends.

She was a member of Carter’s United Methodist Church as her parents before her. She was a faithful believer and was a light to all she met. The light she exuded was felt by many, too many to name.

Yvonne graduated Bates High School in Annapolis, c/o 1965 and attended college at Bowie State University. She succeeded in the mortgage loan industry until the late 80s then she transitioned her love of finance into the tax arena.

She expressed her artistic flair through classy outfits and was known for her stunning hats and heels. She loved her family and friends dearly. She would send handwritten calligraphy cards, knit beautiful works of art, and all of us knew on bad weather days she was going to call and check in on us.

At Yvonne’s request there will be no funeral services just a private family memorial.

We celebrate her life with her loving words: “I’ll Be Seeing You”.
