Esther V. Hutzley

Esther Virginia Hutzley (née Ford) passed away peacefully on August 29, 2018 at the age of 101. She was a life-long resident of Anne Arundel County and resided in Glen Burnie Health and Rehabilitation for the last four years of her life.

Esther was the daughter of Elizabeth (Brownley) Ford and Harry Ford of Baltimore, both dec. and was preceded in death by brothers James Ford of Baltimore and Edward Ford of Florida.

She was married in 1936 to Frederick Grant Hutzley Sr. who passed away in 1978. She is survived by her children, Gloria Jean and Frederick G. Hutzley, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Carol J. , as well as grandchildren, Christopher, Bradford and Cara and grandson-in-law, John Gardner.

Esther was a long-time business woman and owner of her hair salon in Glen Burnie and a talented artist in numerous mediums. She lived a very fulfilling life and enjoyed world travel and many social activities with friends. She was a member of the Glen Burnie chapter of the Eastern Star for many years.

Her family and friends will gather to celebrate her life on December 1, 2018 at the Whitehurst Clubhouse, 360 White Cedar Lane in Severna Park at 2:00 pm.
