2 men injured after vehicle strikes tree in Crownsville
Two men were flown to shock trauma in Baltimore early Saturday morning after they were ejected from their vehicle when it struck a tree in Crownsville, officials said.
The 1:25 a.m. incident was a single-car wreck. County fire officials noted the car left the roadway in the 1100 block of Sunrise Beach Road.
The 38-year-old driver and a 28-year-old man in the front seat were ejected from the vehicle.
Both suffered critical, potentially lifethreatening injuries, police said.
A female rear seat passenger, 32, was taken to Anne Arundel Medical Center with minor injuries.
Two Maryland State Police helicopters landed on the grounds of the Crownsville State Hospital to transport the patients to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore.
