Stars join ‘ Ratatouille’musical
TikTok’s crowdsourced “Ratatouille” musical has cooked up some serious talent for its one- nightonly benefit concert, including roles for Tituss Burgess, AdamLambert, AndréDe Shields and Ashley Park.
“Ratatouille: The TikTokMusical”— fondly nicknamed the “Ratatousical”— will begin streaming on Friday at 7 p. m. Eastern for 72 hours. Tickets are on sale exclusively on TodayTix. comand are $ 5. Proceeds will benefit The Actors Fund, which aids entertainment industry workers.
It is the product of several minds— many musical theater fans and out- of- work performers — whocollaborated on original songs, lyrics and ideas to turn an animated, nonmusical film into a two- act Broadway- style show.
The story for both film andmusical centers on Remy, an ambitious rat whodreams of becoming a Parisian chef.
Burgess will play Remy; Lambert plays his older brother, Emile; andWayne Brady plays his father. TonyAward winnerDe Shields plays food critic AntonEgo, Kevin Chamberlin plays the great chef Gusteau, and AndrewBarth Feldmanplays Gusteau’s
“nephew” Linguini.
Other cast members will beTony winner PriscillaLopez, Tony nominee Ashley Park, OwenTabaka and three- timeTony nomineeMaryTesta. The show will be performedwith the 20- piece Broadway Sinfonietta orchestra.
‘ DeadliestCatch’s’ McGlashandies:
Longtime “Deadliest Catch” cast memberNickMcGlashan, 33, has reportedly died.
TheTVstar died Sunday inNashville, Tennessee, TMZreported, citing confirmations fromboth amedical examiner and fromMcGlashan’s family.
Authorities have not released a cause of death forMcGlashan.
Aveteran fisherman and crabber, McGlashan joined Discovery Channel’s “DeadliestCatch” in 2013. The series follows the high- leverage efforts of fishermenwhoventure out to sea and risk their lives to haul in crabs.
Discovery describes McGlashan in an online biography as a deck boss knownfor his “witty quips, working through the pain and not stopping the job until its done.”
McGlashan battled drug and alcohol addiction during his life. His struggles led to him being removed fromhis boat during the 13th season of “Deadliest Catch.” He attended rehab at the time.
