Severna Park shuts out Glen Burnie for fifth straight win

For the third straight game, Severna Park boys soccer won with a shutout.

The undefeated Falcons (3-0, 5-0) went on the road and earned a 4-0 victory Tuesday over Glen Burnie (0-3, 1-5) with four different players scoring. Owen Muldoon, Kevin Breitinger, Jeff Chukwu and Elliot Gerig all found the back of the net, while Ethan Watson and Ben Nocerito picked up assists.

Goalies Brandon Asch (2 saves) and Matt Schisler (3 saves) combined to hold the Gophers scoreless. Glen Burnie goalie Trevor Kramer finished with nine saves.

Boys Soccer Arundel 2 , Northeast 0

Arundel (3-0, 4-2-1) defeated Northeast (1-4, 1-4) on goals by Jacob Rarig and Brett Wilkins. Assists were tallied by Evan Koch and Ben Keville. Wilkins’ goal was his first of the season. Goalkeeper Alejandro Monroy made eight saves in securing the shutout. Chesapeake 3 , Southern 0

The Cougars (2-2, 2-2) shut out the Bulldogs (0-3, 0-4), getting five saves from goalie Maxx Gray. Caleb Adams scored off an assist from his brother Daniel in the first half. Juan Jose DeNardo then scored unassisted to make it 2-0 in the second half. Daniel Adams then scored off a feed from his brother Caleb to create the final margin.

Broadneck 4 , Old Mill 0

The Bruins (4-0, 6-1) scored twice in each half, three coming off the foot of Mikey Johnson, on the way to the win over the Patriots (2-2, 3-2). Hektor Thompson scored the team’s other goal, while Jaden Smith, Anders Nelson, Louis Dassa and Riley Erbe picked up assists. Broadneck goalies Matt Tettemer (4 saves), Jackson Shaw (1 save) and Griffin Bodziak took turns in net. Old Mill’s Skylar McCarthy made seven saves. South River 3 , Meade 0

South River (3-0-1, 4-2-1) beat Meade (1-3, 1-3) at home. Defenders Will Gervase and Quade Blazevich each had headers for goals off two Christian Gionis assists. Hunter Marsden had the final goal of the game when he was fed into a 1v1 from Ned Schauerman­n. Jay Jenkins had two saves to

preserve the shutout.

Annapolis 9 , Chesapeake SP 0

The Panthers (4-0-1, 4-0-1) had goals from eight different players in the nine-goal victory over the Tigers (0-3, 0-4). Roberto Colon opened up the scoring, finishing a rebound on a corner kick. Stiven Llano scored next, assisted by Nick Cuviello. Ryan Cooper scored the next two on assists from Henry Flores and then Brian Guillen. Guillen added a goal when Jason Umana slotted a pass in front of the goal. Josue Reyes added to the tally by earning and converting a penalty kick. Gavin Birchfield added another goal, and Alberto Herrera capped the half with a goal that saw Cuviello earn his second assist of the game.

Llano picked up an assist to go with his goal when he put Elder Gutierrez through to goal. Michael Capo earned the shutout, making one save. Timothy Shaia made several saves in each half for CSP.

North County 2 , Crofton 1

The Knights (1-2, 1-2) edged the Cardinals (2-4, 2-4) by a goal.

Girls Soccer Chesapeake 4 , Southern 1

After leading 2-1 at halftime, Chesapeake (3-1, 3-3) added two more unanswered goals in the second half to pull away for the threegoal win over the Bulldogs (2-2, 3-2). Lily Barnum, Kenzie Boyd, Tina Tinelli and Ella Shannon scored goals for the Cougars, while Megan Miller had an assist. Skylar Williams scored the long goal for Southern.

Chesapeake goalie Ryleigh Smoot made five saves. Southern had Makenzie Kadjeski (4 saves) and Sidney Shaw (8 saves) split time at goalie.

Severna Park 5 , Glen Burnie 0

The Falcons (3-0, 5-0) stayed undefeated with the shutout win over the Gophers (0-3, 1-6). Sophomore Sarah Stefancik led the way with a hat trick, while juniors Hanna Verreault and Lexi Ensor also scored goals. Caitlyn Boucher and Sara Kreis registered assists. Junior goalie Delanie Robertson made three saves.

Northeast 2 , Arundel 0

Caitlyn Cornwell and Kaya Pullins scored the goals for the Eagles (3-1-1, 4-1-1), while

McKenzie Lanham made 11 saves, in the win over the Wildcats (2-1, 2-5). Arundel goalie Trysta Thomas finished with 10 saves.

Broadneck 5 , Old Mill 0

The Bruins (3-0-1, 5-0-1) remain unbeaten with the shutout win over the Patriots (2-2, 3-3).

Annapolis 8 , Chesapeake SP 0

The Panthers (4-1, 4-1) earned their second straight shutout victory, beating the Tigers (0-3, 0-4) by eight goals.

Field Hockey Southern 3 , Chesapeake 2 Severna Park 2 , South River 1

The Falcons (4-0, 5-0) stayed undefeated with the one-goal win over the Seahawks (2-2, 4-2), getting a pair of goals from Zoe Day. Severna Park goalie Charlotte Kramer made eight saves. South River’s goal was scored by Gigi Stephan, with the duo of Lily Kerr (1 save) and Reagan Beall (7 saves) splitting time at goalie.

Old Mill 9, Glen Burnie 0

The Patriots (3-1, 3-2) earned the shutout win over the Gophers (1-1, 2-4).

Arundel 6 , Annapolis 0

The Wildcats (1-3, 1-4) broke through for their first win, shutting out the Panthers (0-4, 0-4).

Northeast 1 , North County 0 OT

Sophomore Cecilia Hartford scored the game-winning goal for Northeast (2-0, 2-0) in overtime against the Knights (1-5, 1-5). Eagles’ goalie Hannah Fox made six saves and North County goalie Wendy Hoglin stopped two shots.

AACS 3 , Catholic 1

Goal scorers for AACS (2-0, 2-4) were McKenna Steinau, Laine Rogers and Olivia Hall.

Spalding 8 , Notre Dame Prep 2

Bella Saviano (two goals), Bridget Donovan (two goals, assist) and Ally Keith (goal, assist) led the offensive effort for the undefeated Cavaliers (3-0, 7-0). Katie Fichtner, Elly Beavers and Jilly Lawn also scored in the victory for Spalding. Notre Dame Prep goals were scored by Charlotte Kroneberge­r and Charlotte Stromberg. Spalding goalie Gabby Prentice made two saves, while Notre Dame Prep goalie Kerigan Ross stopped 17 shots.

Bryn Mawr 3 , Severn 0

The Admirals (0-2-1, 2-2-1) were shut out in the IAAM A Conference matchup.

Broadneck def. South River — 3 -0 [25-20,25-10,25-17]

The Bruins (5-1) earned the sweep over the Seahawks (1-3) behind big games from Natalie Luscomb (13 service points, 5 aces, 22 kills, 5 digs), Bella Rubino (8 service points, 2 aces, 7 kills) and Hannah Waters (12 service points, 2 aces, 31 assists).

South River was led by Beth Marks (7 kills, 4-5 service, with 1 ace and 8 digs), Lindsey Hutchins (5 kills, 5-6 serving, with 4 aces) and Isabella Hogue (5 kills, 7-7 serving, with 5 digs).

The first of two meetings between the two teams this season, Chesapeake SP (2-3) prevailed in four sets over the Eagles (0-5). Junior libero Isabella Lora led the way in the win with 7 aces and 3 digs. Junior OH Jasmin Azan and sophomore MH Brooke Waters each had four kills. Junior setter Madeline Parks led CSP with eight assists. Junior DH Veronica Howard led the team with 5 digs and also had 1 kill.

Old Mill def. Southern — 3 -1 [25-21,19-25,25-21,25-22]

In the victory over Southern (5-1), the Patriots (4-3) were led by Ashley Chen (20 assists, 1 ace, 1 kill), Brianna Hale (12 assists, 1 kill), Eva Mourog (6 aces, 12 kills, 3 blocks, 4 digs) and Morgan Daughters (10 kills, 4 blocks, 2 aces). Crofton def. Annapolis — 3 -0

The Cardinals (7-0) stayed unbeaten this fall with the sweep of the Panthers (3-2). Leaders for Annapolis were Emily Rodriguez (10/10 serving, 2 aces), Sophia Krause (6/6 serving, 5 kills, 7 digs) and Grace McQuoid (7/7 serving, 14 assists).
