LeSean McCoy will officially retire as a member of the Eagles on Friday, the team announced. McCoy, an all-time franchise great at running back, will be honored at Sunday’s home game as the Eagles Legend of the Game. The two-time All-Pro ends his 12-year NFL career with 11,102 rushing yards and 73 rushing touchdowns, along with 15,000 yards from scrimmage and 89 total touchdowns. McCoy also made six Pro Bowls while being named to the Pro Football Hall of Fame All-2010s Team. McCoy, 33, won Super Bowl rings with the Chiefs and Buccaneers in each of the last two years. The Eagles drafted McCoy, a Harrisburg, Pennsylvania native, out of Pitt with the No. 53 overall pick in the second round of the 2009 draft. He spent the first six years of his career in Philadelphia, where he ranks first in rushing yards (6,792), second in rushing attempts (1,461), third in rushing TDs (44) and third in rushing average (4.7). McCoy set single-season franchise records for rushing yards (1,607) in 2013 and rushing TDs (17) in 2011, and he also led the NFL in yards from scrimmage in 2013 with 2,146.
