?? ?? Cardi, 6, is a female German shepherd who weighed only 50 pounds when she was found Sept. 7. Good food and medical care have vastly improved her health; her cherry eye still needs surgery. Cardi has done very well with people while at our shelter but she can be dominant with other dogs, so we recommend she be an only dog.

?? ?? Dalia’s former owner said she was “very sweet and patient” with children ages 1 and 2 and “loves to give kisses,” but the younger child had a “severe” allergy to cats, so Dalia was given up to Animal Care & Control on Sept. 3. She loves cuddles and being brushed. Dalia, 13, is a spayed dilute tortoiseshell cat who weighs 12.4 pounds.
