Broadneck girls lacrosse get balanced offensive effort in win over Annapolis

Here’s a roundup of high school varsity action on Friday.

Girls lacrosse

Broadneck 15, Annapolis 4:

Nine players contribute­d points for the Bruins in their regional semifinal win. Mary Moore led the way with two goals and four assists, while Olivia Orso totaled three goals and an assist. Lexi Dupcak and Reagan Baldwin both had hat tricks.

Old Mill 15, Meade 2: Heather Titus, Samantha Sobolewski and Madeline Hoot all scored two goals, while Haley Hodak had a goal and an assist to spark the Patriots. Meade goalie Sara Woods registered 19 saves.

North County 20 Glen

Burnie 1: Alyssa Yost scored four goals and added two assists, while Maggie Blanford had three goals and two assists for the Knights (11-4).

Fellowship of Christian Athletes 17, Anne Arundel County 9: FCA won in the Capital Area Lacrosse League championsh­ip game. Ashley Waldhauser scored five goals, while Natalie Macri and Vicky Meeker each finished with three. Alyissa Cook made eight saves.

Boys lacrosse

Broadneck 18, Annapolis 3:

The Bruins prevailed in the Class 4A East Region II semifinal. Davis Fisher totaled seven points with four goals and three assists. Jake Schroll and Tanner Boone each scored three goals with Schroll picking up two assists and Boone one. Ryan Salazar added two goals and two assists. Jack Torney, Colton Swank and August Keohan scored for Annapolis.

Indian Creek 19, Gerstell 4: Will Mercer scored six goals and assisted on four others to lead Indian Creek. Roddy House added five goals and Benny Carter had three goals and two assists. Will Flint also scored three goals.

Severna Park 17, Crofton 3: Senior attackman Joaquin Villagomez scored four goals and added an assist to lead the Falcons. Parker Sealy scored two goals and dished off four assists, while Timmy Sullivan totaled two goals and an assist.

Nolan Zborai contribute­d a goal and three assists.

Southern 20, McDonough 2: Attackman Alhaji Shaw scored three goals and dished off an assist to lead the Bulldogs. Attackman Ryan Gregoire totaled two goals and two assists, while midfielder Logan Wheeler scored two goals.

Key 17, Christo Rey 0: Attackman Reid Chapman scored eight goals and dished off three assists as the Obezags scored the shutout in the MIAA C Conference playoffs. Jaeden Clark contribute­d three goals and two assists. Chris Ajayi scored two goals and Liam Morin chipped in two assists.

Old Mill 17, Glen Burnie 4: Jumarr Brooks scored six goals and Luke Fletcher

added four to lead the Patriots. Cam Neal and Jaeden Simms both had two goals and an assist for Old Mill, which will play at North County in the regional championsh­ip game Monday.
