Big names are on the move

Russell Wilson is heading to the Steelers.

The nine-time Pro Bowl quarterbac­k has agreed to sign a one-year deal with the Steelers. Wilson will receive the veteran’s minimum of $1.21 million while the Broncos pay the remainder of his $39 million salary.

Wilson posted his intentions on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, saying: “Year 13. Grateful. (at) Steelers.”

The 35-year-old Wilson was 11-19 in two seasons with the Broncos after being acquired in a trade from the Seahawks. He bounced back from a dreadful 2022 season and threw 3,070 yards, 26 touchdowns and only eight intercepti­ons, but still lost his job to Jarrett Stidham after going 7-8 in coach Sean Payton’s first season last year.

Eagles reach deal with Barkley:

The Eagles decided Saquon Barkley was the rare running back they were willing to make a financial splash on — a move made even more rewarding by prying him away from the NFC East rival Giants.

The Eagles agreed to a contract with Barkley, long the face of the Giants.

Barkley is set to sign a three-year deal for $26 million guaranteed and $37.75 million overall.

Cousins leaves Vikings for big new contract with Falcons:

Kirk Cousins is leaving Minnesota for Atlanta, landing another big contract with a well-timed foray into free agency.

Cousins agreed Monday to a four-year, $180 million deal with $100 million guaranteed with the

Falcons.

Cousins gets a $50 million signing bonus and his salaries for 2024 and 2025 are fully guaranteed. The annual average value of $45 million would reach the top 10 for quarterbac­ks in the NFL.

The Titans replacing Henry with Pollard:

The Titans are replacing four-time Pro Bowl running back Derrick Henry with Tony Pollard.

Pollard and the Titans agreed Monday to a $24 million.

The Titans drafted Tyjae Spears last season. Spears was the backup to Henry.

The eight-year veteran, who turned 30 in January, is poised to hit free agency Wednesday for the first time in his career.

Packers agree to free agent deal with Jacobs:

The Packers agreed to a deal with running back Josh Jacobs and released longtime running back Aaron Jones.

Jacobs was a first-round pick by the Raiders in 2019 and was given the franchise tag last season.

He agreed to a re-worked deal with the Raiders that ultimately gave him an extra $1.3 million in 2023 but never was able to reach a long-term deal with the Raiders.

Chiefs, Jones finalize 5-year, $158.75M deal:

The Chiefs finalized a five-year, $158.75 million contract with Chris Jones on Monday, keeping the All-Pro tackle in the middle of their defensive line as they chase a record-setting third consecutiv­e Super Bowl title.

Jones will make $95 million guaranteed over the first three years.
