Jaiden Smith led the Mus­tangs with 16 points to go with three re­bounds and a pair of blocks. Nick Green had seven points, 14 re­bounds and three as­sists, while Jack­son Ni­chol­son rounded out the scor­ing with a free throw.

Ring­gold opened last week with a 48-35 home vic­tory over Red Bud in a non-league game. The Tigers did their dam­age in the first half as they took a 26-13 lead into the locker room. The two teams matched point-for-point in the sec­ond half as the Blue­and-white scored the vic­tory.

Brent Bow­man had a huge night with 23 points for the Tigers. O’riley Matthews had 10 points. Chris­tian Smith and Brevin Mas­sen­gale had six points each, while Ty Gilbert fin­ished with three.

The Tigers used a huge sec­ond half as they ran away from Rossville, 68- 21, in a league game played in Rossville this past Thurs­day.

Ring­gold held a nar­row 21-15 lead at half­time, but outscored the Bull­dogs 27-6 in the third quar­ter be­fore shut­ting Rossville out in the fi­nal pe­riod.

Bow­man led all scor­ers with 29 points. Matthews had eight and Smith fin­ished with seven in the vic­tory. Trent Bald­win fin­ished with six points, fol­lowed by Cooper Sex­ton with five, Mas­sen­gale with four and Gilbert, Ja­cob Gar­nica, Cade Shull and Brady Gray with two each.

Zion Irvin led Rossville with eight points. Dar­rian Burks had seven points, fol­lowed by Chase Watkins with five and Tyler Davis with one.

Not to be out­done, the Lake­view War­riors stormed out to an 18-1 lead af­ter one quar­ter, led 29-6 at half­time and rolled to a 46-21 win at Lafayette on Thurs­day.

Jamichael Davis had 17 points for the vic­to­ri­ous War­riors, fol­lowed by Amari Bur­nett with 12.

Daw­son Pen­der­grass paced the Ram­blers with eight points, while Lane Head­rick fin­ished with four.

Down 15-7 af­ter one quar­ter of play on Thurs­day, Gor­don Lee chipped away at Dade County’s lead for the re­main­der of the night. How­ever, the home team was un­able to com­pletely make up the deficit as they dropped a 47-45 de­ci­sion to the Wolver­ines in an NGAC con­test.

Dun­fee had 11 points and six re­bounds for the Tro­jans. Gen­ter added 11 points. Cowan had 10 points and five re­bounds. Roberts hit a pair of 3-point­ers and fin­ished with eight points, while Whit­man had five points and five boards.

The Chat­tanooga Val­ley Ea­gles used an 18-8 run in the sec­ond quar­ter to take con­trol of the game be­fore go­ing on to a 47-41 vic­tory over Trion Thurs­day night in Flint­stone.

Omari Mccleary had 14 points for the Ea­gles. Matthew Ram­sey had 10 points. Jakobe Turner picked up seven points, fol­lowed by Izaac Bryant with six and Austyn Acuff with five. Turner and Bryant led the team in re­bounds, while Bryant was also praised for his de­fen­sive ef­fort.

Sad­dle Ridge also hosted the Chat­tanooga Pa­tri­ots in a non­league game last Mon­day and fell in a high-scor­ing con­test, 66-51. Green led the team with 22 points and had six boards. Smith added 11 points and seven re­bounds. Cole Spears and Ni­chol­son both added seven points, while Lan­don Kennedy rounded out the scor­ing with six.

The Mus­tangs JV also lost to the Pa­tri­ots. Marvin Johnson had eight points in the loss and Carter Rudd added two.
