Jaiden Smith led the Mustangs with 16 points to go with three rebounds and a pair of blocks. Nick Green had seven points, 14 rebounds and three assists, while Jackson Nicholson rounded out the scoring with a free throw.

Ringgold opened last week with a 48-35 home victory over Red Bud in a non-league game. The Tigers did their damage in the first half as they took a 26-13 lead into the locker room. The two teams matched point-for-point in the second half as the Blueand-white scored the victory.

Brent Bowman had a huge night with 23 points for the Tigers. O’riley Matthews had 10 points. Christian Smith and Brevin Massengale had six points each, while Ty Gilbert finished with three.

The Tigers used a huge second half as they ran away from Rossville, 68- 21, in a league game played in Rossville this past Thursday.

Ringgold held a narrow 21-15 lead at halftime, but outscored the Bulldogs 27-6 in the third quarter before shutting Rossville out in the final period.

Bowman led all scorers with 29 points. Matthews had eight and Smith finished with seven in the victory. Trent Baldwin finished with six points, followed by Cooper Sexton with five, Massengale with four and Gilbert, Jacob Garnica, Cade Shull and Brady Gray with two each.

Zion Irvin led Rossville with eight points. Darrian Burks had seven points, followed by Chase Watkins with five and Tyler Davis with one.

Not to be outdone, the Lakeview Warriors stormed out to an 18-1 lead after one quarter, led 29-6 at halftime and rolled to a 46-21 win at Lafayette on Thursday.

Jamichael Davis had 17 points for the victorious Warriors, followed by Amari Burnett with 12.

Dawson Pendergras­s paced the Ramblers with eight points, while Lane Headrick finished with four.

Down 15-7 after one quarter of play on Thursday, Gordon Lee chipped away at Dade County’s lead for the remainder of the night. However, the home team was unable to completely make up the deficit as they dropped a 47-45 decision to the Wolverines in an NGAC contest.

Dunfee had 11 points and six rebounds for the Trojans. Genter added 11 points. Cowan had 10 points and five rebounds. Roberts hit a pair of 3-pointers and finished with eight points, while Whitman had five points and five boards.

The Chattanoog­a Valley Eagles used an 18-8 run in the second quarter to take control of the game before going on to a 47-41 victory over Trion Thursday night in Flintstone.

Omari Mccleary had 14 points for the Eagles. Matthew Ramsey had 10 points. Jakobe Turner picked up seven points, followed by Izaac Bryant with six and Austyn Acuff with five. Turner and Bryant led the team in rebounds, while Bryant was also praised for his defensive effort.

Saddle Ridge also hosted the Chattanoog­a Patriots in a nonleague game last Monday and fell in a high-scoring contest, 66-51. Green led the team with 22 points and had six boards. Smith added 11 points and seven rebounds. Cole Spears and Nicholson both added seven points, while Landon Kennedy rounded out the scoring with six.

The Mustangs JV also lost to the Patriots. Marvin Johnson had eight points in the loss and Carter Rudd added two.
