GLENDA SMILEY, PLEASANT VALLEY BAPTIST CHURCH

-

New year and new opportunity to serve the Lord. Time is an interval between one event to another. “In the beginning” (Genesis) was creation and “even so come” (Revelation) is the ending. The interval between these two events is our period on earth, time. Time is limited and a gift from God. Ecclesiastes 3 tells us there is a time to be born and a time to die for each of us. We have no control over either of these events. Time is the interval between. In our lifetime, today is the only time we have. Yesterday is fixed and gone forever. Tomorrow may never come. In Matthew 6:9-11, the Lord’s focus is today. Verse 11 He speaks of “this day”, not yesterday or tomorrow. Further on, He speaks of “daily bread”, our needs for this day not yesterday nor tomorrow. All we have is this day. Live this day, every day, as if it is your last (1 Thessalonians 5:18).

We would be honored to have your kids join Pleasant Valley Baptist Church youth programs every Wednesday night at 7 PM. Classes last about an hour so youth can be home early. Beginning at 3 years old thru 5th grade(youth), and 6th grade thru 12 (teens). Bring your children for a midweek time and join others in the sanctuary for your own refreshing from the Word of God.

Continue to keep PVBC in your prayers. Praying especially for Mike Cross, Joyce Cross, Denise Pitts, Betty Pitts, Jewell Mitchell (great need), Larry Armstrong, Dot Mcallister (shut-in). Pray for our pastor(s), churches, evangelist, and missionaries. Pray for all who are now touched by some illness. Earnestly pray for our country and our leaders. Pray for souls to be saved

Pleasant Valley Baptist would be so honored to have you worship with us. Services are Sunday mornings 11AM and evenings 6 PM. Wednesday service 7 PM. Morning services are available on Facebook and Youtube.
