Genevieve “Bea” Win­dle Black­man, 95, passed away Tues­day Novem­ber 27, 2018 at Yad­kin Nurs­ing Care Cen­ter.

Born in Char­lotte, NC on Septem­ber 1, 1923, Bea was a daugh­ter of the late Steele Brice Win­dle and Jon Eve­lyn Crook Win­dle. She was mem­ber of Mal­lard Creek Pres­by­te­rian Church and had re­tired as a sec­re­tary from Crown Cen­tral Petroleum.

In ad­di­tion to her par­ents, Bea was pre­ceded in death by her hus­band, Robert Bruce Black­man and a brother, Steele Brice Win­dle Jr.

Sur­vivors in­clude her chil­dren, John Black­man and wife, Melinda, Brenda Ni­chols and hus­band, Neal and Nancy Par­sons; her grand­chil­dren, Matthew Black­man and chil­dren, Court­ney, Bai­ley and Zachary; Derek Black­man and wife, Paula and chil­dren, Hai­ley, Con­nor and Wes­ley; Jared Black­man; Adam Black­man and wife, Jes­sica and daugh­ter, Laura; Bruce McCormick and wife, Carol and daugh­ter, Hai­ley; Charles McCormick and com­pan­ion, Christina Martin and son, Jor­dan and Ro­bie Bryant and son, Con­nor. Also sur­viv­ing is a sis­ter, Eve­lyn Win­dle Stecher and a sis­ter-in- law, Ann “Dolly” Win­dle.

Grave­side ser­vices are planned for 1: 00 pm Tues­day Novem­ber 4, 2018 at Mal­lard Creek Pres­by­te­rian Church Ceme­tery, 1600 West Mal­lard Creek Church Road, Char­lotte, NC 28262.
