Neana Elaine Smith Phillips, age 56, of Hun­tersville ( Long Creek) danced her way into heaven on De­cem­ber 6, 2018.

Neana was born in Char­lotte on De­cem­ber 21, 1961, to Harry and Linda Smith. She mar­ried her high school sweet­heart, David Glenn Phillips, Jr., on July 12, 1981. They had 37 won­der­ful years to­gether.

In ad­di­tion to her lov­ing hus­band, David, and her par­ents, Neana is sur­vived by: her devoted chil­dren, David Glenn Phillips, III ( Re­bekah); Brandy Leigh Phillips Wil­liams ( Justin); and Harry Smith Phillips ( Ashleigh). Grand­chil­dren, Col­lier Mon­roe Nor­ris; Sum­mer Leigh Wil­liams; Chase Rus­sell Wil­liams; and Noah Wil­liam Phillips. Sis­ter, Joyce Untz ( Nancy); nu­mer­ous aunts, un­cles, nieces, neph­ews and cousins.

Davie and Neana en­joyed many won­der­ful va­ca­tion trips with their fam­ily at Myr­tle Beach, mak­ing me­mories that will for­ever be cher­ished. She was the most lov­ing mother, grand­mother, and best friend. Not a day was spent that she didn’t wit­ness to all her love for her Sav­ior and Lord.

A Me­mo­rial Ser­vice will be held at 2PM, Wed­nes­day, De­cem­ber 12, at Hopewell Pres­by­te­rian Church, 10500 Beat­ties Ford Rd, Hun­tersville, NC 28078. The ser­vice will be of­fi­ci­ated by Dr. Al­lan Pur­till. The fam­ily will re­ceive friends im­me­di­ately fol­low­ing the ser­vice in the Fam­ily Life Cen­ter.

Me­mo­ri­als may be made to the Amy­loi­do­sis Foun­da­tion, Duke Adult Blood and Mar­row Trans­plant Clinic, or Hopewell Pres­by­te­rian Church.
