Frank J. Drazba, 81, of Ash­ley, passed away Fri­day, Nov. 9, 2018, at St. Luke’s Villa in Wilkes-barre.

He was born in Ash­ley, a son of the late Charles and Ann Cha­pasko Drazba. Frank was a grad­u­ate of Ash­ley High School.

He was a U.S. Marine Corps vet­eran, serv­ing from 1955 to 1959. Prior to his re­tire­ment, he had been em­ployed as a sheet metal worker with the Sheet Metal Work­ers, Lo­cal 44.

Frank was a mem­ber of St. Leo’s/holy Rosary Church in Ash­ley. He was an avid hunter and fish­er­man. Frank loved his veg­etable gar­den and was well known for his toma­toes.

He was pre­ceded in death by his lov­ing wife, Irene Moyer Drazba, in 2014; and by an in­fant sis­ter, Nancy Drazba; and his sis­ter, Lorene Kruczek.

Frank is sur­vived by his de­voted daugh­ter, Ann, of Ash­ley. He is also sur­vived by his broth­ers, Charles Drazba, Ply­mouth; and Ti­mothy Drazba and his wife, Beth Ann, Me­chan­ics­burg; sis­ters, Jeanette (Mitzie) Phillips, Wilkes­Barre; Au­drey Slabin­ski, Glen Arms, Md.; Deb­o­rah Lukas, Moun­tain Top; and Re­becca Mur­ray, Moun­tain Top; and by nu­mer­ous nieces and neph­ews.

Frank’s daugh­ter, Ann would like to thank the nurses and staff at St. Luke’s Villa and a spe­cial thank you to the VA Hos­pice Unit at the Depart­ment of Vet­er­ans Af­fairs Med­i­cal Cen­ter, Plains Twp., for the lov­ing and de­voted care that they pro­vided.

Fu­neral ser­vices will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tues­day from Nat & Gawlas Fu­neral Home, 89 Park Ave., Wilkes-barre, with a Mass of Chris­tian Burial to fol­low at 10 a.m. in St. Leo’s/holy Rosary Church, 33 Man­hat­tan St., Ash­ley. The Rev. Vin­cent Dang will of­fi­ci­ate. In­ter­ment will be in Maple Hill Ceme­tery, Hanover Twp.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Mon­day at the fu­neral home.
