Robert C. Ko­zlowski, 91, of Scott Twp., died Thurs­day, Dec. 6, 2018, in Al­lied Ser­vices Hospice Cen­ter sur­rounded by his lov­ing fam­ily. He was the hus­band of the late Teresa O’lough­lin Ko­zlowski.

Born MAY 31, 1927, in Taylor, he was the son of the late Ed­ward And Anna Chellis Ko­zlowski.

Robert hon­or­ably served his coun­try in war And in peace in the U.S. Army dur­ing World WAR II, Korea And Viet­nam. He was Awarded A Bronze Star And re­tired At the rank of Sergeant First Class Af­ter 20 years of ser­vice. He later worked for the Vet­er­ans Ad­min­is­tra­tion.

When Robert was A young GI sta­tioned in Ger­many, he made A pil­grim­age to Lour­des in south­west France. On Good Fri­day in 1960, the owners of the ho­tel placed him At A ta­ble with two young Ir­ish women so he would have con­ver­sa­tion partners. A few months later, he rode his scooter to Dublin to Ask Michael O’lough­lin for his daugh­ter’s hand in mar­riage.

He pro­posed to Teresa At the ru­ins of St. Kevin’s Monastery in Glen­dalough. They were mar­ried in Dublin on Dec. 28, 1960. They were both devoted to Mary who blessed them with A long And happy mar­riage And A strong fam­ily.

Robert was An ex­tremely de­vout Catholic And of­ten prayed the rosary. He was A parish­ioner of Our Lady of Vic­tory Parish in Har­veys Lake And St. John Vian­ney Parish in Scott Twp. Robert was An Avid gar­dener And was known to pro­duce some of the world’s great­est toma­toes.

He loved trav­el­ing with his wife And play­ing cards with his chil­dren And grand­chil­dren. He only showed mercy to the youngest grand­chil­dren.

Sur­viv­ing Are his chil­dren, Mary Kleiner (Alex), of Ber­wick; Anna Ko­zlowski, of Mont­gomery, ALA.; Stephen Ko­zlowski (Lisa), of North Top­sail Beach, N.C.; Lucy Mck­aig (Steven), of Cape MAY Court­house, N.J.; Ber­nadette Ko­zlowski, of Asheville, N.C.; And Robert Ko­zlowski (Christina), of Scott Twp.; grand­chil­dren, Daniel, Re­becca And Catherine Kleiner, Carl, Holly And LAURA Mck­aig, Alexan­der, Toni, Kevin, Ber­nadette And Ed­ward Ko­zlowski And Hannah, Padraic And Jami­son Ko­zlowski; great-grand­child, Eden Ko­zlowski; A spe­cial niece, Catherine Halpin, of Pre­ston, Lan­cashire, Eng­land; brother, Ed­ward Ko­zlowski (Jean), of Beth­le­hem; cousin, Carol Ko­zlowski, of Scran­ton; And many nieces And neph­ews.

In Ad­di­tion his lov­ing wife, he was pre­ceded in death by A brother, Hi­lary Ko­zlowski.

The fam­ily will re­ceive rel­a­tives And friends on Mon­day from 10 to 11:45 A.m. At Cor­pus Christi Church, 704 Mont­dale Road, Scott Twp.

The fu­neral will fol­low At 12 p.m. with A Mass of Chris­tian Burial to be cel­e­brated by the Rev. Michael J. Kir­win, PH.D., pas­tor. In­ter­ment will take place At Ar­ling­ton Na­tional Ceme­tery At A later date.
