Eugenia “Jenny” Waslasky, 86, of Plains Twp., fell asleep in the Lord on Tues­day, Dec. 6, 2018, the Feast of St. Ni­cholas, at Celtic Hospice, Geisinger South, Wilkes-barre.

Born in Wilkes-barre, she was the daugh­ter of the late Michael and Martha Krochmu­luk Turchin.

Jenny was a grad­u­ate of James M. Cough­lin High School, Wilkes-barre, Class of 1950, and was em­ployed by Lazarus Depart­ment Store, Wilkes-barre, was an aide for Bayada Nurs­ing, and last at the Wilkes-barre Y.M.C.A. as a child care worker.

A woman of great ded­i­ca­tion and faith to her church, she was a mem­ber of Ss. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, Wilkes-barre. Jenny was a kind­hearted woman who al­ways had a kind word or com­pli­ment about ev­ery­one she came in con­tact with.

She was pre­ceded in death by her hus­band, Stan­ley Waslasky, on Jan. 6, 2015, and broth­ers, John and Wil­liam Turchin.

Sur­viv­ing are her chil­dren, Thomas Waslasky and his wife, Karen, Plains Twp.; De­bra Rossi and her hus­band, Joel, Buck Hill Falls; Kath­leen Banks, Inker­man; and Wayne Waslasky and his wife, Michelle, Plains Twp.; nine grand­chil­dren; and two great-grand­daugh­ters.

Fu­neral ser­vices for Jenny will be held at 11 a.m. on Mon­day at Cor­co­ran Fu­neral Home Inc., 20 S. Main St., Plains Twp., with the Very Rev. Paul Wolen­sky, pas­tor of Ss. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, Wilkes-barre, officiating.

In­ter­ment will be held in the parish ceme­tery, Blan­chard Street, Plains Twp.

Fam­ily and friends may call from 10 a.m. on Mon­day un­til the time of ser­vice at the fu­neral home.
