Son of Phil Donahue dies of aneurysm at 51

James “Jim” Patrick Donahue, the youngest son of Phil Donahue, the former television­show host, died last week of an aortic aneurysm at the age of 51. He lived and practiced law in Honolulu.

James Donahue and his four siblings spent their early years in Dayton at the start of their father’s broadcast career.

For more than 20 years, James Donahue worked for the Ralph Nader group Essential Informatio­n as an investigat­ive researcher and writer.

Survivors include his father; his mother, Margaret Cooney; and three brothers and a sister.
