Give Trump chance with Israel

-

President Donald Trump said the United States should not be into nation building. His decision that he is happy with any solution that Israel and the Palestinians agree to is called Win/Win, and an example of handsoff policy. Win/Win is both sides winning based on them negotiating their needs with each other.

The United States and the world’s belief in a two-state solution was and is a form of nation building, in which the United States and the world tells the Israelis and Palestinians how to live their lives.

The inference from President Trump was the possibility of a greater opportunity because Israel and the surrounding nations, referred to as The Region, have a common fear — Iran.

At one time, this area was referred to as the Fertile Crescent. The modern-day countries with significant territory within the Fertile Crescent are Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Israel, Palestine and Egypt, as well as the southeastern fringe of Turkey and the western fringes of Iran.

The No. 1 technology country in the world is Israel. It is the leader in desalination and irrigation. With its neighbors using technology, these countries could make this whole area bloom again. People would not only benefit from their standard of living, but, the economics for all could be so great that any one working against the team would be cutting off its nose to spite its face.

War with each other would be stupid and unacceptable to the rest of the team.

Doesn’t the new administration deserve a chance to try something new?
