CRIME STOPPERS

Every day, Brian Quinn misses his sister Maribeth Quinn, and he is hoping police find evidence that can lead to his sister’s killer.

As part of Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week, Columbus police are hoping someone will come forward with information related to the unsolved homicide from more than a year ago.

Maribeth Quinn, 53, was found stabbed to death in her Northeast Side apartment on Feb. 12, 2016. Police believe that Maribeth, IT director at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, had been killed the night before.

Maribeth worked at the hospital on Feb. 11 but she didn’t show up to work the next day. Her emergency contact was reached and that person found her dead in her Carmichael Street apartment. The call reporting her death reached Columbus police at 3 p.m. Feb. 12.

There is no known motive for the crime.

“It wasn’t a random crime; whoever did it somehow knew my sister,” said Brian Quinn, 44, of Charlotte, North Carolina. “The people in her life probably know who did it.”

He said the person who killed his sister or the people who have information about the crime will crack eventually.

“The police really need some help,” Brian Quinn said.

The family is offering a $ 10,000 reward through the end of July to anyone who might have information leading to the arrest or indictment of a suspect. Tipsters remain anonymous.

Anyone with information can call 614-461-TIPS (8477) or submit a tip online at stopcrime.org. You also can submit tips by downloading a free application called P3 Tips to your phone.
