Ten shows to watch or record:

■ “MTV Video Music Awards” (8 p.m. Sunday, MTV): ■ “Game of Thrones” (9 p.m. Sunday, HBO): The highly anticipated 81-minute season finale of “Game of Thrones” is here already. It’s a bummer that there were only a measly seven “Game of Thrones” episodes this year.

■ “Diana: The Day We Said Goodbye” (9 p.m. Sunday, Smithsonian): This special recounts stories behind Princess Diana’s funeral — from the royal florist devastated by Prince Harry’s card to “Mummy” — to the pallbearers who struggled just to stay on their feet.

■ “Preacher” (9 p.m. Monday, AMC): It turns out that Jesse’s (Dominic Cooper) pursuit of God is alienating Tulip (Ruth Negga) and Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun). That can’t be good.

■ “Animal Kingdom” (9 p.m. Tuesday, TNT): As season two comes to a close, the manipulative crime boss Smurf (Ellen Barkin) pits her sons against one another when she realizes she might be in jail a lot longer than expected.

■ “Black Love” (10 p.m. Tuesday, OWN): The new documentary series highlights real-life love stories from the black community — including celebrities and everyday couples — and seeks to answer the question: “What does it take to make a marriage work?”

■ “Manhunt: Unabomber” (10 p.m. Tuesday, Discovery Channel): In a letter to his brother David (Mark Duplass), Ted Kaczynski (Paul Bettany) recalls key moments from his past that contributed to his decision to engage in terrorist activities.

■ “Suits” (9 p.m. Wednesday, USA): As the legal series celebrates its 100th episode, an unexpected encounter derails Louis’ (Rick Hoffman) search for a new associate.

■ “Diana, Seven Days” (8 p.m. Friday, NBC): The two-hour documentary recalls the tumultuous week following Princess Diana’s death in 1997. It marks the first and only time her two sons — Princes William and Henry Harry — have done on-camera interviews about that week.

■ “The Perfect Catch” (9 p.m. Saturday, Hallmark Channel): A woman finds the inspiration to reinvent her struggling diner when her high-school boyfriend — now a baseball superstar — returns to town.
