Ohio authors to gather for Wooster book fair

More than 100 Ohio authors will appear at the Buckeye Book Fair in Wooster from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

The event, at Fisher Auditorium at the Ohio State University Ohio Agricultur­al Research and Developmen­t Center, includes a wide range of authors. Special presentati­ons will be given by children's authors Jeffrey Ebbeler and Mary Kay Carson, landscape photograph­er and author Ian Adams and "Central Ohio Legends & Lore" author James A. Willis.

Authors will be on hand to sell and autograph books and talk to fans.

Admission is $2 for adults. Parking is free. A light breakfast and lunch will be available.

At least 16 games will be available as the War of 1812, World War I and World War

II, among other conflicts, are refought.

No experience is required, and kids are welcome. Food will be available for purchase.

Andrew Richmond, an independen­t appraiser and former vice president at Garth's Auctions, will offer his assessment­s and answer questions about items brought in by visitors.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Museum admission is $7 for adults, $4 for students. Appraisals are $5 per item, limit two.
