Ireland and the Last Jedi Encounter

THE TRIP: This eight-day tour of Ireland will give “Star Wars” fans a look at locations used during the filming of the iconic movie series.

Guests will stay in Killarney, Galway, Donegal and Dublin, including a night at the secret castle hotel used by the cast of “Star Wars: The Last Jedi.”

Among the sites to be visited is the island of Skellig Michael, a UNESCO World Heritage site — and the place where Rey tries to get Luke Skywalker to return to the cause.

Stops include the spectacula­r Cliffs of Moher and other sites along the road dubbed the Wild Atlantic Way. Guests will participat­e in a falconry demonstrat­ion at Ashford Castle, explore the circular megalithic passage tomb of Newgrange and meet locals who worked as extras on the film. They’ll share how scenic bits of Ireland were incorporat­ed into “Star Wars.”
