Spectrum customers should reboot systems

COLUMBUS — Some Spectrum cable customers in the Columbus area are being urged to reboot their systems if they continue to have trouble receiving service.

This follows a problem that Spectrum experience­d on Monday, keeping some customers from watching the Winter Olympics on WCMH-TV (Channel 4). The “intermitte­nt technical issues” Monday required the company to reset a piece of equipment.

“We encourage customers still having problems to reboot their equipment. If the problem persists, they can contact customer service to resolve any service issues,” a spokesman said. Dubilier & Rice announced an agreement Tuesday for CD&Rmanaged funds to acquire a 60 percent ownership stake in American Greetings.

Clayton, Dubilier & Rice is a private investment firm with offices in New York and London.

American Greetings was founded as Sapirstein Greeting Card Co. in 1906 by Polish immigrant Jacob Sapirstein, and members of the family have operated the company since its inception.
