Morris’ 3 lifts Boston over Oklahoma City

-

BOSTON — Marcus Morris made a 3-pointer with 1.2 seconds left and the Boston Celtics stunned the Oklahoma City Thunder 100-99 on Tuesday night.

Jayson Tatum led the Celtics with 23 points and 11 rebounds. Morris added 21 points as Boston snapped the Thunder’s six-game win streak.

Russell Westbrook finished with 27 points, eight rebounds and seven assists for Oklahoma City, which fell apart in the closing minute.

RAPTORS 93, MAGIC 86: Kyle Lowry scored 25 points and Toronto used a strong fourth-quarter defensive effort to beat the Orlando Magic. Toronto limited Orlando to 3-of-19 shooting (15.8 percent) in the fourth quarter, helping the Raptors overcome an eight-point deficit and win for the 12th time in their last 13 games. CURRY MEDICALLY CLEARED TO RETURN TO FULL PRACTICE: Stephen Curry has been medically cleared to resume full practice beginning Wednesday with the hope he can return from his latest right ankle injury later in the week. Curry was re-evaluated Tuesday as scheduled and the Warriors said the twotime MVP is making good progress. Golden State hosts Atlanta on Friday, so if all goes well Curry could be back for that game or Sunday’s home matchup with Utah. NBA FINES ROCKETS’ GREEN, CELTICS’ MORRIS: The NBA has fined Gerald Green of the Houston Rockets $25,000 for shoving an opponent and Marcus Morris of the Boston Celtics $15,000 for verbally abusing an official. Green’s fine stems from a scuffle involving him, teammate Chris Paul and Minnesota’s Gorgui Dieng in the Rockets’ 129-120 win over the Timberwolves on Sunday night in Minneapolis. Green was ejected in the fourth quarter for coming to Paul’s defense after Dieng pushed him down after a foul.
