More than 300 apartments would be added Downtown under two proposals set to come before the Downtown Development Commission next week.

Crawford Hoying Development Partners is proposing a six- story building with 70 apartments, including 25 “micro” apartments, on the former site of Swan Cleaners, 255 S. High St.

The proposal replaces an earlier Crawford Hoying plan for a 10- story apartment building on the site.

The new plan calls for five floors of apartments above two parking levels, one of them below ground.

The U- shaped building would include 10 twobedroom apartments, 35 one- bedroom apartments and 25 “micro” studio units.

The commission also will get its first look at the residential portion of the new White Castle campus on West Goodale Street at Interstate 670.

White Castle proposes three apartment buildings and a community center for the west side of the 15- acre site, overlooking the Olentangy River.

The complex, called The Reach on Goodale, would include 254 one-, two-, and three- bedroom apartments. Plans call for two future residential buildings. Crawford Hoying Development Partners proposes a six-story building with 70 apartments on the former site of Swan Cleaners, 255 S. High St.

The $ 25 million apartment project is part of the $ 65 million redevelopment of the White Castle headquarters site that will

include a new headquarters for the burger chain.
