ATLANTA — The Cincinnati Reds sent outfielder Adam Duvall to the Atlanta Braves for three prospects late Monday.

The Braves sent right-handers Lucas Sims and Matt Wisler and outfielder Preston Tucker to Cincinnati. All three spent time in Atlanta this season but were with triple-A Gwinnett at the time of the trade.

The 29-year-old Duvall has hit 15 home runs with 61 RBIs but is hitting only .205 this season.

Tucker will join the Reds immediately, and Reds president of baseball operations Dick Williams told the Cincinnati Enquirer that the team views Sims as a future major league starter.

Sims, 24, was a first-round draft pick in 2012. This season, he is 4-3 with a 2.84 ERA in triple-A.

Tucker, 28, played 62 games for the Braves this season, batting .256. And Wisler, 25, is 4-4 in triple-A this season with a 4.37 ERA.

BRAVES 5, MARLINS 2: Freddie Freeman hit a go-ahead homer in the third inning, Ronald Acuna Jr. also went deep and Atlanta beat Miami. Brian Anderson’s two-run homer off Julio Teheran (8-7) in the first gave Miami a lead Wei-Yin Chen (3-8) couldn’t hold. The Braves pulled even in the second when Tyler Flowers walked, moved to third on Johan Camargo’s double and scored on Ender Inciarte’s fly ball. Camargo scored on Teheran’s two-out single up the middle. Freeman’s homer, his 18th, in the third gave Atlanta the lead. Flowers walked and scored from first on another double to left by Camargo. After J.T. Realmuto’s run-scoring double in the fifth cut Atlanta’s lead to 4-3, Acuna led off the bottom of the inning with his 10th homer, just over the reach of Magneuris Sierra in center field. ASTROS, BLUE JAYS SWAP CLOSERS: The Houston Astros traded Ken Giles to the Toronto Blue Jays along with a pair of pitching prospects for Roberto Osuna. Houston also sent right-handers David Paulino and Hector Perez to Toronto. The 23-year-old Osuna is eligible to pitch in the major leagues starting Sunday after a 75-game suspension under Major League Baseball’s domestic violence policy. He has made six scoreless oneinning appearances in the minors since July 14, the last three at Triple-A. The 27-year-old Giles is 0-2 with 12 saves and a 4.99 ERA this season, and was currently in the minors. TWINS SHIP LYNN TO YANKEES: The Minnesota Twins traded right-hander Lance Lynn to the New York Yankees for first baseman/outfielder Tyler Austin and right-handed pitching prospect Luis Rijo. The 31-year-old Lynn was 7-8 with a 5.10 ERA in 20 starts for the Twins, walking 62 and striking out 100 in 102 innings.
