Honda re­search cen­ter adds 175 jobs

Honda R&D Amer­i­cas’ Ohio Cen­ter in Ray­mond will be adding 175 new jobs.

Honda R&D Amer­i­cas and Job­sOhio an­nounced Thurs­day a part­ner­ship sup­port­ing a grow­ing, high­tech work­force at Honda R&D Amer­i­cas’ Ohio Cen­ter in Union County, lo­cated in be­tween Honda of Amer­ica Man­u­fac­tur­ing and Honda East Lib­erty Auto Plant.

“As Honda takes on new chal­lenges to meet the fu­ture needs of our cus­tomers, we con­tinue to build a next-gen­er­a­tion work­force by in­vest­ing in our as­so­ciates, our op­er­a­tions and our com­mu­ni­ties to pro­mote the grow­ing, high-tech pres­ence here in Ohio,” Frank Paluch, pres­i­dent of Honda R&D Amer­i­cas, said in a news re­lease.

The re­search and devel­op­ment cen­ter cur­rently em­ploys 1,431 work­ers, ac­cord­ing to Job­sOhio.

Honda R&D Amer­i­cas, Inc. has 12 fa­cil­i­ties in the United States and is re­spon­si­ble for mak­ing ad­vanced prod­ucts and tech­nolo­gies for Honda and Acura ve­hi­cles. It is also work­ing to ad­vance its driver as­sis­tance and hu­man in­ter­face sys­tems.

Job­sOhio will help the project with two grants and ac­cess to its re­cruit­ing ser­vices.
