Make citizenship goal of city-financed services

I respond to the Feb. 1 Dispatch article “City fund aided hundreds of immigrants.” The article described how illegal immigrants are provided attorneys, paid for with taxpayer money shifted from taxpayer-supported services. I hope attorneys are helping the immigrants learn English and helping them gain citizenship.

It takes years, but I would be in favor of using my money to produce legal citizens.
