Diversity practitioner surprisingly intolerant
I am deeply disappointed that the Dispatch chose to publish the Feb. 2 op-ed “Covington students show how whiteness operates” by Melissa Crum.
I do not believe that “whiteness” describes the “dehumanizing of nonwhite people.” I would expect Crum, as a diversity practitioner, to accept all people regardless of their skin color, religious preference and other characteristics. But instead, she uses skin color to represent the type of bigotry which she rightfully finds offensive and unacceptable.
