Diversity practition­er surprising­ly intolerant

I am deeply disappoint­ed that the Dispatch chose to publish the Feb. 2 op-ed “Covington students show how whiteness operates” by Melissa Crum.

I do not believe that “whiteness” describes the “dehumanizi­ng of nonwhite people.” I would expect Crum, as a diversity practition­er, to accept all people regardless of their skin color, religious preference and other characteri­stics. But instead, she uses skin color to represent the type of bigotry which she rightfully finds offensive and unacceptab­le.
