Cameron Mitchell to open Ocean Prime in Chicago
Cameron Mitchell Restaurants is expanding to Chicago and opening an Ocean Prime in April.
The 12,350-square-foot restaurant will be located in the Shops at Londonhouse downtown and the menu will feature seafood and prime cuts of steak from Executive Chef Jason Shelley.
“We’re thrilled to open an Ocean Prime in Chicago, a city we’ve had our sights set on for quite a while,” Cameron Mitchell, Founder and CEO of Cameron Mitchell Restaurants, said in a news release.
Sears store at Polaris slated for redevelopment
based in Columbus, made the announcement in conjunction with its earnings release late Wednesday.
Sears has announced the closure of the Polaris store, which is winding down operations. The mall owner bought the Polaris building and several others from Sears a year ago; it has not announced detailed plans for the site, but is expected to redevelop it as an outdoor “lifestyle center” area similar to the outdoor shopping and dining area added to the east side of Polaris in 2009.
Jpmorgan Chase loans set for Detroit neighborhoods
Jpmorgan Chase is investing $15 million to expand economic opportunity across 10 Detroit neighborhoods.
The bank will use a $10 million loan and $5 million in philanthropy to help attract additional capital and assist residential and commercial development projects that have had trouble getting traditional financing.
The efforts, part of Jpmorgan Chase’s five-year, $150 million commitment to the city, are expected to provide area residents with increased access to affordable housing, goods and services.
Janitorial supplier to closing GM plant to cut 73 jobs
More job losses are coming as part of the shutdown of a General Motors plant in Ohio that makes the Chevrolet Cruze.
Leadec Corp., a company that supplies janitors and other cleaning services for the GM plant in Lordstown, says it will lay off 73 workers next month, The Vindicator of Youngstown reported.
Hundreds of supplier jobs in northeastern Ohio are being cut ahead of the closing in early March. The assembly plant near Youngstown is one of five GM operations targeted to close this year as part of a major restructuring.
