A former Pickerington Central High School teacher and softball coach convicted of having sexual contact with a student lost her license this week at the State Board of Education meeting.

Carrie B. Eneix, 37, voluntarily surrendered her license in January, the same day she pleaded guilty to a fourthdegree felony count of gross sexual imposition in Fairfield County Common Pleas Court.

The board took formal action Tuesday.

Eneix began teaching and coaching in 2005. The consensual sexual contact occurred in 2006, according to a bill of information filed with the court. Fairfield County Prosecutor Kyle Witt told Thisweek News in January that investigators had uncovered two other inappropriate relationships, but there wasn’t enough evidence to charge Eneix with felonies in those cases.

Eneix resigned on June 5, 2018, according to schoolboard meeting minutes.

Fairfield County Common Pleas Judge David Trimmer ordered Eneix in January to register as a sex offender annually for the next 15 years, serve five years on probation and pay a $1,400 fine, according to court records.

Pickerington schools Superintendent Chris Briggs told Thisweek News that officials relieved Eneix of her duties in October 2017 on learning of the allegations and were “saddened and outraged.” RED CROSS
