Starting a streak: The margin for error is practically nonexistent for the Crew. With 11 games to play and only at 21 points, the Crew probably needs to win at least eight games to be in playoff position, which means some of those wins will have to come on the road. But the Crew isn’t thinking about that. It’s trying to focus on one game at a time, so as not to get overwhelmed by thinking ahead. The Crew showed significant improvement in gaining four points in two games last week. Red Bulls allowing goals: The Crew has finally put two multi-goal games together ahead of a pivotal road game against an opponent that has allowed 12 in its past five games. Some of those results came when the Red Bulls were missing top defender Aaron Long. New York is coming off a shutout win against Orlando City on the road.
