Revolution push unbeaten streak to 11

Gustavo Bou scored three minutes into the match and the New England Revolution added three more goals in the second half to run its unbeaten streak to 11 games with a 4-1 victory over Orlando City on Saturday night in Foxborough, Massachuse­tts.

Bou gave a back-heel flick to Edgar Castillo to start a give and go. As Bou took the ball back just inside the box, he used a first touch to get free and, after a second touch. slotted the ball past Brian Rowe for this second goal in just his third game with New England.

Matt Turner made several saves for the Revolution, then just two minutes into the second half, Brandon Bye sent a cross past two teammates and two defenders before Cristian Penilla put it in for his fourth goal. Carles Gil added his eighth goal with a penalty kick in the 60th minute and set up a goal by Diego Fagundez’s goal in the 75th.

Turner, who made seven saves, lost his shutout when Tesho Akindele scored his seventh goal in the 77th minute.

New England (9-86) has won five of six. Orlando City dropped to 7-11-5. IMPACT 4, PHILADELPH­IA UNION 0: Finnish winger Lassi Lappalaine­n scored twice in his Major League Soccer debut and Orji Okwonkwo also had two goals to help Montreal (10-11-3) beat Eastern Conference-leading Philadelph­ia Union (11-76) in Montreal. Evan Bush made three saves for his seventh shutout of the season.

FC DALLAS 0, REAL SALT LAKE 0: Jesse González had five saves for his sixth shutout of the season and FC Dallas (9-8-6) played to a scoreless draw with Real Salt Lake (9-9-4) in Frisco, Texas. Real Salt Lake coach Mike Petke was not on the bench after being suspended because of his conduct following Wednesday night’s Leagues Cup match against Tigres UANL. Petke was shown a red card after having words with referee John Pitti. The matter is pending investigat­ion and MLS is withholdin­g comment until a review of the incident is complete. Nick Rimando had two saves for Real Salt Lake for his sixth shutout of the year and 150th of his MLS career.

FIRE 0, D.C. UNITED 0: Kenneth Kronholm only had to make one save to get his first shutout with Chicago (5-10-9) in the Fire’s scoreless draw with D.C. United (9-6-9) in Bridgeview, Illinois. Bill Hamid made two saves on the other end to pick up his ninth shutout of the season.
